Current research

I am captivated by the intricate processes of biological diversification, adaptation and speciation. With my research, I want to try to shed light the mechanisms driving evolution. Having previously explored the world of paleontology, I am now immersed in a captivating project centered on the evolution of three-spined sticklebacks (Gasterosteus aculeatus), with a specific emphasis on genomics and evolutionary developmental biology. By investigating the genomic underpinnings and the developmental processes shaping the remarkable adaptations of these fish, I aim to shed light on the fascinating interplay between genetic variation, natural selection, and phenotypic diversity. Through this research, we hope to gain deeper insights into the fundamental forces driving evolution and contribute to our understanding of the remarkable diversity of life on earth.
