Current Research
My research is focused on the study of colonization and diversification patterns of freshwater taxa (with a particular focus on molluscs) in island systems – either true islands or habitat islands such as ancient lakes. I mainly use genetic (and genomic) data to infer phylogenetic relationships and to reconstruct the biogeographical origin of these groups
